A lovely oak window seat or hall bench dating from the late 19th century. It stands on turned and carved legs and has a shaped frieze below the seat with pretty carved scrolling detail. It is in good solid order and a good size, perfect for a hall or window bay.
It is in good condition with a lovely warm patina. There are some signs of age and use, some light surface marks and stains and small knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. There have been some old repairs to corners of the seat and an old strapped repair below one leg (see photos) and it is strong and sturdy and displays well.
