A very good quality mahogany buffet / dumb waiter dating from the mid 19th Century. It has three tiers supported by bobbin turned columns with pretty turned finials and it stands on large brass castors. Each shelf has a scallop shaped apron below with roundel decoration.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use, some minor old knocks and marks but nothing detrimental and it has developed a lovely rich patina. There have been a couple of good old repairs to breaks on the aprons and there is a very minor shrinkage split in the top tier but no major damages or anything to concern us. The buffet moves smoothly on its castors and displays beautifully.
