A very decorative tilt-top table dating from the mid to late 19th Century. It has a circular top with a beautiful hand painted scene in shades of pale blue and green with inlaid mother of pearl detail. The table top has an intricate mosaic style border made from tiny squares of mother of pearl inlay. It stands on an ebonised base with a turned column and three splayed legs decorated with hand painted gilt lined decoration.
It is in good condition for its age and is sturdy with a good level top. There are some signs of age and use and some minor marks on the top surface but nothing detrimental. The tilting mechanism is smooth and the catch is strong. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
