A beautiful mahogany bow fronted chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. They are excellent quality and very well made with a lovely patina. The drawers have their original turned wooden knobs and the chest stands on bracket feet. There is a pretty inlaid strung border around each drawer and below the top.
It is in good condition for its age and has been re-polished to bring out the lovely colour and grain of the wood. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are typical signs of wear, some minor marks and knocks and some repairs to chips along the back edge (see photos) but nothing detrimental and it displays well. The chest has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
