A lovely oak studio easel dating from the late 19th century. It has a H shaped frame and base standing on castors. It has a large shelf with bevel gear mechanism with moves up and down using the detachable winding handle. The upper support is also adjustable.
It is a very good quality piece designed with function in mind whilst still being an attractively made item. It has been lightly cleaned and polished but we have left the original paint splatters which add to its lovely patina.
It is in good condition for its age with no major damages. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks but nothing detrimental and it displays well.
It is easily usable for its original purpose or great to just display a piece of artwork on.
