A lovely antique candle or taper box dating from the 19th Century. It is made of oak and has a lovely colour and patina. It has a sliding lid and a hole in the back to allow it to be hung on a wall.
It is well made and in good condition for its age. There are signs of age and use, a few small marks and minor knocks but no major damages. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and displays well.
