A good example of an original antique military issue signalling torch. It has a bulbous front lens and a wheel behind with a green filter, red filter and blank section, allowing different coloured lights to be shone. It has a makers plaque "The Orilux. J.H.Steward Ltd. 406 Strand. London".
The body is covered in leather and the metal parts are finished in a chrome or nickel plating. The bottom of the torch opens which presumably gives access to the battery compartment or power source. It comes in a protective thick canvas case with the name 'Walton' on.
