A good example of an original WW2 era leather map case, believed to be German. It has a large folding flap, two internal sections, pencil holders and two straps on the back for fixing to a belt.
It is very well made and excellent quality. It has a lovely aged patina and just the right amount of wear to show that it has been used but well cared for.
It is in good condition for its age with no major damages. The outer has sustained some scuffs and light marks, particularly around the corners but nothing detrimental. The case has been lightly cleaned and polished and displays well.
