A lovely folding cane chair dating from the early 20th century, designed for use on board canoes but it also doubles as a fantastic picnic or fishing chair. It is portable with a carrying handle at the top and small round legs bound in protective leather. There are two leather straps that keep the back upright when it is opened out and there is a storage compartment below the seat.
The whole chair is in good original condition. There are signs of wear and use and some small losses here and there but nothing untoward. There is an old repaired break in one of the rear leg supports. There is some wear on the leather straps but overall they are strong and sturdy.
