Fantastic vintage car mascot in the desirable form of a terrier dog. I believe it dates from the early to mid 20th century and it is stamped 'NCL & Co' .
The dog measures approximately 4" (10cm) long and 3" (8cm) tall and he is stood on an circular base 2 1/2" (6cm) in diameter. He looks to be either chromed or nickel plated and it has a lovely finish. He is superbly well made with lots of detail and a mischievous face.
It is in very good condition for its age. There are some marks and light signs of wear / tarnishing as can only be expected but there is no major damage and itdisplays beautifully. The fixing bolt has been cut off to give a flat flush base but this means it would have to be re-drilled if it were to be mounted to a car again. It is very heavy so also makes a super desk paperweight.
