Product Details

Good example of a clockwork train and tender produced by Bing in Germany in the early to mid 20th Century. It is painted in green Great Western livery with gold lining and has a matching 6-wheel tender with 'Great Western' on both sides. Both the engine and tender have all of their original couplings and buffers.

I do not have a key for the engine but I have tested the clockwork motor and it runs well.
It is in good condition for its age and displays very nicely. The paintwork is in good order and I can see no evidence of touching up or repainting. There are some minor scratches and small areas of rust / corrosion on the engine and base but nothing major. The wheels look to be in good order with light signs of wear. There has been a small repair on one of the front buffers on the engine which is visible from the inside (see photo).
