A good example of a late 19th century brass door stop. It is good quality and the foot is filled and weighted. The reverse is stamped with a patent number and a maker's stamp for William Tonks.
It is in good condition for its age with no major damages. There are some light surface marks, small dinks and signs of use and age but nothing detrimental. The brass has tarnished in places over time but it has been lightly polished and has a lovely patina.
