A beautiful example of a Victorian library or hall table dating from the mid 19th Century. The table has a quarter veneered burr walnut top over two flush frieze drawers, one stamped "C Hindley & Sons, late Miles & Edwards, 34 Oxford Street, London". It stands on spiral turned columns and scroll feet with castors below.
It is an excellent quality piece and is beautifully finished on all four sides of the table, making it suitable as a centre table or side table.
It is in very good condition for its age and it has a nice patina with a lovely rich colour. There are some minor signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks here and there but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
