Product Details

A good example of a walnut tabletop cabinet dating from the late 19th century. It was probably once a humidor but would suit a variety of uses. It is a simple elegant design with ebonised stringing and a triple divided front.

The doors open to reveal two drawers with inset brass military style handles. The drawers and even the inside of the doors are beautifully veneered in a rich walnut. Each drawer is divided internally into various sections.

The cabinet is in good condition for its age. The wood has developed a lovely rich patina and the interior is clean and tidy. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and use and a small shrinkage split to the back (see photo) but overall it displays well. It does not come with a key. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
