A good quality walnut bookcase dating from the late 19th Century. It has two glazed doors that open to a shelved interior. The walnut fronted shelves are adjustable and the bookcase comes with its original working key.
It is a good size with nice narrow proportions and is in good condition for its age. The walnut has developed a wonderful rich patina and it displays well. It is not without some small knocks and marks and a few small chips and splits but nothing untoward or detrimental. One of the shelves has an old split but generally they are clean and tidy and they remain strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
