A beautiful antique desktop inkstand dating from the mid to late 19th Century. It is made of the finest burr walnut with ebonised mouldings and an ebonised carry handle. It has two large glass inkwells on the top and the front opens to reveal a sectioned interior for storing letters or other stationery.
It is in good condition throughout and although it has been used it has been well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, some minor shrinkage splits and general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. There have been a few small repairs to the veneer but overall it displays very well.
