A beautiful Victorian Walnut stationery box of the highest quality with a lovely rich patina and a domed top with ornate brass strapping.
The top opens up to reveal partitions for holding papers and letters. One partition is missing but has provided a larger section at the front. The lid is lined with a beautiful green silk.
It is in good original condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. There have been some small repairs and there are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age and light use but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned, waxed and the brass gently polished and overall it displays beautifully.
