Product Details

A lovely walnut sewing table dating from the mid to late 19th century with a beautiful inlaid Tunbridge Ware panel. It has a single drawer above a a large sewing compartment which slides out and is lined with a patterned paper. The drawer comes with a working key.

The table stands on bulbous turned legs with nicely carved detail joined by a turned stretcher and the legs finish with small ceramic castors.

The table is in very good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. It is generally clean and tidy throughout and the drawer opens well. There are some marks and losses to the lining inside the sewing compartment but nothing detrimental. There are normal signs of light wear and age, a few minor marks, knocks, some old shrinkage splits and a small chip to the base of the sewing box but no major damages or anything untoward. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
