A superb example of a stuffed and mounted Stag's head. He is an impressive beast with large antlers and he has been very well preserved and skilfully mounted on an oak shield. a
The front of the shield is painted with the name "Dundreggan" which was a very prestigious Scottish Estate and the date 1889.
He is in very good condition for his age and displays well. There are of course signs of age and use with some slight wear and shrinkage on the tips of the ears and around the eyes but nothing untoward.
