A good example of an antique silver teapot. It is an elegant shape decorated in a swirling classical style repoussé pattern. It is stylish and good quality with angular wooden handles and a wooden knop finial.
It is hallmarked for Chester, 1897 and the maker George Nathan & Ridley Hayes and it weighs approximately 269g.
It is in good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There are some minor signs of age and use, some general light surface marks and knocks but no major damages. There has been an old repair to the wooden handle (see photo) but it is strong and sturdy and it is certainly a very usable piece.
