A charming 19th Century Stafforshire model of a poodle carrying a basket of flowers in its mouth. It is of typical design on a rectangular footed base with a gilt border. It has been well modelled and is a good quality example.
The figure is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and the colours have remained bright and vibrant. There are typical minor flaws, a small firing crack below the base (see photo) and small nibbles on the raised 'furry' parts but overall it displays very nicely.
