Product Details

A good example of an early Victorian Solid Silver tea caddy spoon with a distinctive large shovel shaped spoon and short handle. The end of the handle is engraved with the initial D. The spoon is good quality, weighing approximately 17g and measuring approximately 3 3/4" (9.5cm) long.

It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1852. The makers mark is slightly worn but it looks to be for Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater.
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks and dinks here and there but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
