A beautiful Victorian scent bottle with ornate floral decoration. It is a pretty teardrop shape with a hinged lid and one side has an engraved cartouche with scrolling initials JMH.
The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1889 and the maker Horton & Allay.
It is in good condition for its age and there are no major damages. The hinge is strong although the lid doesn't close as firmly as I would expect it to. There is no internal stopper. It has been cleaned and the silver gently polished and overall it displays very well.
