A good quality pair of silver salts with matching spoons in their original fitted case. The salts stand on small bun feet and have gilt interiors with beautiful floral decoration. The spoons have twisted handles with ball finial and shell shaped bowls.
Each piece is individually hallmarked for Birmingham and the makers Hayes Brothers. The salts are dated 1891 and the spoons 1892.
Every piece is in very good condition. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few faint surface marks and a small dink in the end of one spoon but nothing detrimental. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
The box is good quality with a silk lining and fitted velvet base. There are some minor marks inside the box and the outer of the case is not without some minor signs of age and use but no major damages and it displays well.
