A good example of a solid Sterling Silver shaker pot, most likely a pounce pot. It is a good quality piece with an elegant shape on a round foot. It has a pierced shaker top and a gilded interior. It weighs approximately 31g.
The hallmark is slightly rubbed but still visible and it is marked for Chester, 1896 although I cannot distinguish the maker.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some minor dinks and light surface marks around the body but overall it displays well and the interior gilding is still bright. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
