Product Details

A good example of an antique Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is an elegant design with a beautifully shaped handle and ornate repousse floral decoration. It stands on three hooved feet. The jug is stylish and good quality with a shaped cartouche on the front which has, unusually, not been engraved. It weighs approximately 89g.

It is hallmarked on the base for London, 1870 and the makers Daniel & Charles Houle. The hallmark is slightly rubbed but still readable.

It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, minor dinks and light signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
