A good example of a Victorian Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is an elegant design with a beautifully shaped handle, round foot and ornate repousse floral decoration. The cartouche is engraved with ornate initials HR and there are also remains of the original gilding on the interior. The jug is stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 120g.
It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1878 although the maker's mark is a little rubbed.
Approximate Measurements :

It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and light signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it still displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
