A good example of an antique silver cased multi tool with a small loop at one end, most likely designed to be attached to a fob chain or chatelaine. It contains a small folding fruit knife, button hook and scissors. It is excellent quality and the outside is beautifully engraved with a chased foliate design.
It is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1889 and the maker Joseph Adelman.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, a few small dinks and some minor signs of rust and corrosion on the tools but no major damages and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
