A superb early Victorian silver christening set consisting of a fork, spoon and knife in its original fitted box. They are excellent quality pieces with beautiful foliate and grape vine decoration and they have not been engraved.
Each piece is fully hallmarked for George William Adams, London, 1848. They weigh approximately 110g in total.
They are in good condition with clear hallmarks. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks but nothing detrimental. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
The set comes in its original silk and velvet lined box, with fitted sections to hold the cutlery. The outside of the box is covered in a deep red leather type material with embossed decoration and it has a press catch to keep it closed. The box is in good condition and the interior is clean and tidy but there are some scuffs and marks and some old stains.
