A good Victorian satinwood crossbanded writing table dating from the late 19th Century. It has two drawers, each with brass ring handles and it stands on stylish tapering fluted legs with its original brass castors. The top has an inset brown leather writing surface with gilt tooled edge.
The desk is in very good condition. It has a lovely warm colour and a great patina on the leather surface. There are some marks, stains and lots of wear but no major damages. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside with a few old marks and ink stains. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
