A rare Victorian porcelain scent bottle with a solid silver threaded top and collar. It is an unusual ring shaped design, the right size to actually be worn on a finger. The bottle is good quality with attractive painted decoration depicting a floral design with gilt highlights.
The top is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1887 and the maker G.W. It also has a painted registration mark 'Rd No 72627'
It is in very good condition for its age. There are some small marks on the silver top and some general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. There are no cracks or damages to the bottle. It has been cleaned and the silver gently polished and overall it displays very well.
