A lovely Victorian farmhouse table dating from the late 19th Century. It has a thick planked top and stands on square chamfered legs joined by side rails and a middle stretcher. There is a small drawer on one side. It has a lovely mellow colour and a nice aged patina.
It is a good size, big enough to seat 4 comfortably with 2 extra at the ends and the legs have been tipped to ensure it is a good height to sit at with ample leg clearance of 23 1/2" (60cm).
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use and various marks in the top which add to the patina but nothing detrimental. There are some historic signs of worm which have all been treated as a precaution and haven't affected the table structurally or aesthetically. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
