A good example of a small antique pine dresser with plate rack. The base has three central drawers, each with a turned wooden knob, between two large shelved cupboards.
It is a good quality piece with panelled sides, a moulded plinth base and reeded moulding around the plate rack. It has a good thick top and the pine has mellowed to a nice warm colour with a pleasant patina.
It is in very good condition throughout. It has been thoroughly cleaned and has a nice smooth waxed finish. The drawers open well and it is generally clean and tidy inside. It is not without signs of age and use, some minor marks on the top surface, knocks and some scuffs and marks around the base but no major damages or anything detrimental. There are signs of historic worm internally and in the back boards which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically.
At some point the height of the plate rack has been reduced but it has been done very well and the dresser doesn't look out of proportion.
