A beautiful antique desktop inkstand dating from the late 19th Century. It is made of oak and has two glass inkwells with brass collars and hinged lids inset into the base and there is also a pen tray. Behind the inkwells is a hinged letter / stationery rack with a sloped lid embellished with a shield cartouche and a brass framed note holder.
It is in very good condition and although it has been used it has been well looked after over the years. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few small knocks and marks but nothing detrimental. The inkwells are in very good condition with no major damages and the oak has a lovely patina.
