A lovely miniature apprentice-made mahogany chest of drawers, dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is a charming piece with two short over two long drawers, each with their original ceramic knobs. It has its original stained finish which has worn and crackled in places giving an attractive aged finish. It is very well made and each drawer is beautifully made with hand-cut dovetail joints.
It is in good original condition and has a nice patina. There are some general signs of age and use, some minor marks, knocks and stains but nothing detrimental. There are some signs of historic worm in the bottom of a couple of drawers which has all been treated as a precaution.
