A good quality Victorian mahogany writing desk dating from the late 19th century. It has two drawers, each with brass plate handles and it stands on stylish turned chamfered legs with brass castors. The top has an inset green leather writing surface with gilt tooled edging.
The desk is in very good condition. It is generally clean and tidy throughout and the writing surface is in good order. The drawers open well and the desk moves well on its castors. There are normal signs of light wear and age but nothing detrimental and it displays beautifully. It has a lovely rich colour and has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
