A good quality mahogany washstand dating from the late 19th century. It stands on turned tapering legs and has an arrangement of three drawers, although the middle drawer is a dummy drawer. Each drawer has a small turned wooden knob. It has a raised gallery around the top and a useful lower shelf, making it perfect as a side table, washstand or small writing table.
It is in very good condition with a beautiful rich patina. There are signs of age and use, some small marks on the top and minor knocks around the legs but no major damages or anything detrimental. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
