A very good quality mahogany buffet / dumb waiter dating from the mid 19th Century. It has two tiers supported by turned columns and stands on large original brass wheel castors.
It is in good original condition and is a sturdy piece. It has not been refinished, rather the original patina has been left untouched with lots of richness and signs of use and age. There are some old surface scratches on the top of the buffet and general signs of wear and a small chip around one of the finials. There is also a small old split in the bottom tier which has been carefully repaired (see photo) and isn't detrimental. The buffet runs well on the castors and is a solid piece.
A very useful and functional piece of furniture.
