A beautiful Victorian mahogany desk dating from the late 19th Century. It has an arrangement of 9 drawers around a central kneehole. Each drawer has turned wooden knobs and each pedestal has a plinth base with castors below. The top of the desk has a good quality green leather writing surface with a gold tooled edge. It also comes with a working key for the drawers.
The desk is in good condition for its age and has been well looked after. It has a lovely rich patina and the drawers open well. The inside of the drawers are generally clean and tidy with just some minor old ink stains. A couple of the knobs have been replaced and there are some normal signs of age and use, some minor knocks and light surface marks, some chips around the base and a couple of old repairs but overall it displays well. The desk has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
