A good mahogany open bookcase dating from the late 19th Century. It is a simple design set on a plinth base with an open front. There are three adjustable shelves set on side supports.
It is a good size with nice small proportions and is in good condition for its age. It is not without some small knocks and marks and minor chips around the base but the mahogany has developed a lovely patina and there are no major damages. The side rails that support the shelves are missing some teeth towards the bottom so the bottom shelf cannot be moved right down but the three still space out nicely. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
