A lovely example of a mahogany framed armchair dating from the mid to late 19th Century. It is excellent quality with a beautifully carved frame with scrolling arms, turned legs and brass castors.
It is a well proportioned chair with a deep comfortable seat. It has been recently upholstered in a good quality fabric that compliments the chair with matching piping.
The chair is in good condition and the mahogany has a lovely rich colour. There are some signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks around the legs but no major damages. There have been a few repairs over the years but nothing untoward and it is strong and sturdy. There are a few minor marks on the upholstery but it still displays beautifully.
