An attractive mid 19th Century butler's tray with a folding X-frame base. The mahogany tray has raised sides and four shaped carrying handles. It is a large example and the timbers are excellent quality with a nice rich patina.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use, some wear and light knocks on the legs, some small chips and a few surface marks but nothing untoward or detrimental and it displays very nicely. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
