A small mahogany framed Cheval mirror dating from the mid 19th Century. The mirror has an arched mahogany frame, supported by elegant scrolling arms with splayed scrolling feet and its original castors. The brass hardware is stamped "Cope & Austin Patent".
The mirror is adjustable and moves back and forth on ball catch brackets. It has its original antique mirror plate with some minor spots of wear and foxing but nothing detrimental.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks but nothing detrimental and the wood has developed a beautiful patina.
