A beautiful mahogany chest of drawers dating from the mid 19th Century. Excellent quality and very well made with a lovely rich flame mahogany patina and an attractive bow-front. There is also a nice inlaid strung border around the top. It is set on turned feet and has its original turned knobs.
It is in good condition for its age. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside with the original blue penny paper linings. There are the usual small signs of wear, some minor marks, a small chip on one knob and some repairs to chips in the veneer around the drawers but nothing detrimental. They have been cleaned and gently waxed to retain their aged patina and display well.
