A good quality adjustable music stand dating from the mid to late 19th century. It stands on a tall mahogany pole with a scrolling tripod base and turned finial. It has a mahogany lectern with brass fingers and the angle is adjustable by moving the stand at the back. The height can also be adjusted by moving the brass clip on the pole.
It is a good quality piece and has stamped serial numbers below the legs and on the back of the lectern.
It is in excellent condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks but nothing detrimental or untoward. It has a lovely patina and has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
