Product Details

A superb quality Victorian oak partner's desk dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is a particularly large size with drawers on both sides. Each drawer has its original turned oak knobs and two of the drawers have internal dividers. The desk has an inset dark leather writing surface with gilt tooled edging and it stands on large bulbous turned legs with its original ceramic castors.

The desk is in very good condition with a lovely warm colour. It is generally clean and tidy throughout and the writing surface is in good order. The drawers open well and the desk moves well on its castors. There are normal signs of light wear and age, some minor marks and knocks around the top, a few odd marks in the drawers and a small chip on one leg but nothing detrimental or untoward and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
