Good example of an antique elm topped stool dating from the mid 19th Century. It stands on ring turned windsor style legs with crossed stretchers. It has a solid elm top with a lovely dished shape.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It has a wonderful aged patina with lots of signs of wear and use but it is strong and sturdy. There has been an old repair on the stretchers and there are general knocks and marks here and there but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
