Product Details

An attractive and good quality 'Smoker's Bow' or 'Captain's' armchair dating from the late 19th century. It has a comfortable wide and deep elm seat with broad arms, turned spindles and turned legs joined by a double stretcher.

It is approximately 31" (79cm) high and it is 26” (66cm) wide across the arms. The seat is approximately 18 1/2" (47cm) deep and 18” (46cm) high.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It has developed a nice aged patina and is a strong and sturdy chair. The chair is not without a few small marks and signs of age and use and a few minor shrinkage splits but no major damages or anything detrimental.
