Product Details

A good example of an antique farmhouse chair dating from the late 19th century. It has a shaped elm seat with curved arms supported by turned spindles. It is high backed with lathe supports and it stands on ring turned legs joined by a double stretcher. It has a wonderful patina and has mellowed to a nice warm blonde colour.

It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use, some minor marks and knocks around the legs and some light surface marks on the seat but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

The chair stands approximately 44 1/2" (113cm) high and 26" (66cm) wide across the arms. The seat is approximately 17 3/4" (45cm) high and 20" (51cm) deep.
