A large antique dinner gong dating from the late 19th Century. It is a good quality piece and the bronze gong hangs in a carved pitch pine frame in the Gothic revival style. It also comes with its original wooden handled beater hanging to one side.
It is in good condition for its age. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and displays very well. It has a nice aged patina with some natural crackling and wear to the finish. There are some minor signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks but nothing detrimental.
